Wind turbines are becoming more modular in design, helping to increase their structural flexibility while also speeding up the component replacement process. In order to make the equipment run longer and the maintenance time shorter, the connector as one of the important parts of the wind turbine, in the load power side and variable propeller system control signal end, slip ring module, control cabinet, cable bundle, brake system, lift, sea crane, power socket, tower lighting system and other positions have been applied.

The main requirements for connectors are closely related to the application structure and environmental characteristics of the field, including:

(1) Resistance to vibration, mechanical stress and ambient temperature

(2) Prevent seawater, salt spray, oil and other bad environment

(3) High IP protection level and UV resistance for outdoor applications
